I’m inspired by realism, aiming to create pieces that accurately portray subjects so that they are as true to life as possible.
The process of commissioning a painting:
Conceptualize:
To start, I request pictures of the desired subject as well as other details of exactly what the expectations of the piece are via email. This is a very important step in the process because it is the only way to ensure that your piece is exactly how you want it. It is helpful to send in several pictures so that I can get a good feel for the subject, but in order to ensure that the painting captures your subject as accurately as possible, I go by one photo that I will then duplicate to the best of my ability, so it’s important that you have a favorite photo. If you’re unsure of exactly what you want, I am happy to give my opinion on what I think would look best.
Create:
Each piece takes anywhere from 8-48 hours total depending on the subject (house, animal, person, etc.) and turnaround time will depend on how many pieces are in commission at the time. When the piece is finished or nearly finished, I will email you a picture of the piece to make sure that everything looks just the way you want it to and make any changes if need be.
